Vitenfabrikken | Science Centre
Travel between stars in Planetariet, get up close with 800 000 Voltage in our Tesla Coil, or attend the exciting science shows “Flammer og Farger”.

Vitengarden | Science Centre
See if you can produce one horsepower, operate hydraulic machinery or let down your shoulders with our farm animals.

Flyhistorisk Museum Sola Interactive Museum
Stories of Norwegian military cold war pilots. Get up close with historic fighter jets, helicopters and commercial aircrafts. Learn how locals were affected by Nazi occupation during world war ii.

Garborgsenteret | Interactive Museum
Learn about the contributions of Rogaland-based author couple, Arne Garborg and Hulda Garborg, to the struggle for recognition and implementation of Nynorsk, one of the national written languages, into Norwegian society.

Varden Sjøredningsmuseum | Interactive Museum [closed 2024, welcome back in 2025]
The museum was opened in 1977 to document the equipment of the sea rescue stations in Jæren.

Walk among buildings from the 1600s and get a peak into the life once lived on this historic mountain sheep farm, now turned museum.

Vistnestunet Cultural Heritage Site
Welcome to a farm from the 1800s, the buildings and surrounding area provides insight into tradtional building practices and farming culture.
Chickens will greet you throughout July. You may befriend sheep owned by the local farmer but do not run after them. The sheep will get anxious around dogs, so please keep your dog on a leash, even if your dog responds well to recall.
Opening hours
You can come by whenever as there are no opening times and no entry charge because we currently do not offer any services or tours.
If you see Coordinator/Gardner, Lars, you might strike up a chat about the area, if he has time.
Parking is free, see signage when arriving.
