Children form 4 to 17 years old: NOK 75
Adult: NOK 145
Senior: NOK 115
Student: NOK 75 upon presentation of a valid student ID
Maxiticket: NOK 390 (2 adults + 3 children)
Please note: The ticket you purchase is valid for all Jærmuseet sites and Hå gamle prestegard on the same day.
Children visiting Vitenfabrikken alone must be over 10 years old. Only adults can accompany children under 10 years old.

Adult annual pass: NOK 450

Note: annual passes are personal and can only be used by the registered cardholders. Valid for the immediate family. The annual pass is valid at all Jærmuseet sites and runs from date to date for 52 weeks.
Do I need to book tickets in advance?
You can buy admission tickets both online and at the reception when you arrive.
Do you offer guided tours or rental of The Aviation Museum?
Yes! We offer group tours all year round, including outside of regular opening hours. Read more here.
How do I get to The Aviation Museum?
The Aviation Museum is located in Sola Prestegårdsveg 170, 4050 Sola. There is free parking for visitors outside of the museum.
What can I experience at The Aviation Museum?
At the Aviation Museum, you can get up close to rare aircraft and helicopters, and learn about their history. In the Civil and Military Aviation exhibition, you will gain insight into the exciting evolution of aviation. In Those of Us Who Flew During the Cold War, we share the stories of those who served in the Norwegian Armed Forces during the Cold War. Here, you can see all the fighter jets used in Norway, with the exception of the F-16. In The Torpedo Workshop, stories from World War II are brought to life. The workshop was built by the German occupying forces during WWII and originally served as a torpedo workshop for the German seaplanes operating from Sola Sjø at the head of Sømmevågen.
Is there parking nearby?
Yes! There is free parking for visitors just outside of the museum.
Is The Aviation Museum accessible to all?
Yes. All exhibitions are located on the ground floor in spacious premises. The entrance is also at ground level.

Can I use a compenion certificate?
Yes! People with a companion certificate enter for free, and the cardholder pays for a regular admission ticket. Welcome!
Is the café open?
In our café, we sell coffee, filled croissants, cookies, ice cream, and sodas. If you wish to host a meeting at the Aviation History Museum, we offer an expanded menu. Please ask our café staff if you have any food allergies. The café is open during opening hours.
Please note that consuming your own food and drink is not permitted in the café.
Is the store open?
At The Aviation Museum, there is a small shop selling a selection of aviation and aerospace literature, small toys, model kits, and plastic model aircraft. Located right by the main entrance, the shop is one of the first things you see as you arrive, and it is open throughout the museum’s opening hours.

At The Aviation Museum, we welcome visitors of all ages. What they all have in common is a shared interest in planes and aviation – whether it is small, growing, or already well-established.

Hello Teacher!
Primary and lower secondary schools can attend educational programmes at the Aviation Museum free of charge. Kindergartens and upper secondary schools pay NOK 30 per person and NOK 300 per teaching hour. Read more and book your educational programme here.
