Overview of aircraft and helicopters in the exhibition
This exhibition is housed in an authentic hangar from World War II. Here you’ll find a large and diverse collection of German and Norwegian aircraft used before and during World War II, as well as civilian classics from Norwegian aviation in the 1950s. The exhibition also includes several civilian and military helicopters. In total, around 30 aircraft and helicopters are on display across the hall’s 3,000m². Several of the exhibited aircraft are the world’s only surviving example of their type, such as the museum’s Caproni Ca. 310 and Heinkel He 115. Other aircraft types have only a couple of, or very few, surviving examples worldwide.
