Science Circus is Jærmuseet's own travelling science centre - a science centre on wheels! We visit schools in the county of Rogaland.

One of the aims of the Science Circus is to arouse children and teenagers’ curiosity and interest in science and mathematics. We will try to stimulate the whole of the school community. The programme comprises a show, interactive experiments in mathematics and science, tuition for pupils and courses for teachers.

The object of Science Circus is:

  • To give the pupils an experience of science subjects that they will remember.
  • To arouse curiosity and show that science subjects can be exciting.
  • To learn something and have fun at the same time.

The experiment and the show are designed with a view to giving pupils the opportunity to participate in, master and experience excitement through being active, playing and trying things out and especially by giving them something to think about in terms of science and mathematics.

The educational basis is the science centre pedagogics.
