STEM week under the slogan Let’s STEM together, will be held from 12.-16. February 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the newly opened Youth Department of the Zadar City Library, Ulica Stjepana Radića 11B, Zadar, Croatia.
First day of STEM week, 12.02.2024. at 10:00 a.m., an introductory press conference will be held with the aim of presenting the activities of the STEM week, and on the second day, 13/02/2024. at 1:00 p.m., a panel discussion on the topic of Active Citizenship will be organized, in which elementary school teachers and an expert from the University of Zadar will take part and, as part of the panel, they will also present the manual of Active Citizenship that they created together.
During the STEM week, teachers and other educational workers will exchange experiences with the aim of improving the quality of life of the entire community, by promoting values such as equality, tolerance and justice.
During the event, more than 30 thematic workshops will be held (creative mathematics, little chemists, legos and robotics, a small school of astronomy, let’s explore the Adriatic Sea and many others) to strengthen knowledge, skills and competences and popularize science and STEM fields and active citizenship, and about 15 presentations.

The STEM County project is financed under the «Local Development and Poverty Reduction» program, which is part of the Financial Mechanisms of the European Economic Area and the Kingdom of Norway, and is implemented in the period from July 15, 2022 to April 14, 2024.
