Tungenes Lighthouse
Tungenes Fyr (lighhouse) is located on the northern edge of the Jaeren region, in the municipality of Randaberg. The lighthouse has helped sailors for more than 180 years to get safely in to Stavanger. Today, Tungenes is a cultural lighthouse with many activitities. In the lighthouse buidling, you can experience how the keep and his family lived in the 1930s and in the shed there are various themed exhibitions. The café offers light homecooked meals, and there are great hiking areas around the lighthouse.

There is also an art exhibition of the artist Oskar Sørreime on the 2nd floor above the café. Sjøbruksmuseet (the Fishing museum) in Tungevågen shows how the fishermen utilizes the marine resources. Vistnestunet is also located in the minicipality of Randaberg. It is a beautiful farm from the last part of 1800, and it is open for schools and groups on request.
