Take a trip to Limagarden in the municipality of Gjesdal, and see a typical old farm and a cultural landscape from the inland rural areas of Jæren!
Limagarden consists of buildings and a farmyard from the period 1800 – 1939. The farm is situated in an old and beautiful cultural landscape with a magnificent view across the "Limavatnet" lake. The main farmhouse has had three types of living rooms that have been furnished and decorated in the style of the mid 1900s. Tools and utility articles are exhibited in the other rooms and buildings.
The farm is located two kilometres south of Ålgård centre. Limagarden is locaTake off E39 onto road RV 45 to Sirdalen.ted only 100 metres off E39, follow signs to parking [map].
Open for groups by appointment all year.
Tours after opening hours, has the following extra costs:
Monday-friday 8 – 15 NOK 300 per hour
After 15 on weekdays + weekends NOK 500 per hour
